2019 Annual Conference

"Curing the incurable: Interdisciplinary approaches to research”

The 2019 Annual Conference was held in Nottingham on 27th & 28th June. The theme was “Curing the incurable: Interdisciplinary approaches to research” and included talks from Professor Paul Dimitri (Sheffield Children's Hospital), Dr Pádraig Kitterick, Professor Luca Marcinani (Nottingham University Hospitals), Simon Denegri (NIHR National Director Patients, Carers and the Public), Michael Prior (Nottingham Public Representative) and Dr Kevein Dryan (St James Hospital, Dublin). The conference had an integrated patient and public element with two public resentatives speaking at plenary sessions. They also had workshops covering a variety of Clinical Research topics including project management, emergency scenario training, working with CROs and supporting workforce needs.
